The golden rule is truly living love. Love must be redefined for each level of living, depending upon the level of spiritual discernment both in the individual who is desirous of living the golden rule within himself as well as in relationship with others.
Indeed, we should relax and enjoy our status as children of the heavenly Father regardless of the degree of achievement within that status. We are growing spiritual children just beginning a long spiritual journey that will ultimate terminate in spiritual perfection.
With our God given faith, and the Spirit of Truth who directs and guides us into all of our moral and spiritual relationships, this spirit meets us where we are and lovingly moves us along the path of divine sonship, climbing each rung on the ladder of the golden rule along the way.
If we take time to reflect upon this great truth that we are sons and daughters of the heavenly Father and try to understand what this means even in this life, we will be overwhelmed by spiritual joy, even emotional joy at those rare occasions when the spirit of rejoicing spills over into our emotions. Yes, relax and enjoy! It is a blessing beyond full comprehension being the sons and daughters of the heavenly Father.
