Jesus says to you, “Come to me all you who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”
Have you ever claimed this promise this when you were having trouble falling asleep?
Have you ever found yourself worshiping instead of sleeping and finding that your rest was more full of spiritual strength than if you had slept?
Our Father knows what we need, makes provision for our pleasures, for those little vacations in the day–like taking a sauna (see the photo in the blogpost!)
Yesterday, I spoke with a brother who is heavy laden, caring for many people dealing with extreme poverty, addiction, homelessness. And I dedicate this to him with the thought: Artistic living is a fruit of the spirit.
Listen for Jesus one more time: Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Imagine that you are in his presence. You are in his presence. His Spirit of Truth is comforting, pervading your mind to bring you rest–spiritual strength.

Some of the wikimedia data is in Russian, so I’m imagining that it’s a Russian gentlemen in the photo who is resting after enjoying the sauna. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Rest#/media/File:Rest_after_washing_in_sauna.jpg
